Good Easter Monday Morning

It is the beginning of a new week. Wondering what will entail today. We are leaving our daughter Jill's home after spending a few days here during the Easter holiday.  We had the joyful pleasure of spending the time with our granddaughters ,since the distance keeps us from spending the quality time we would love to have with them.  When we get together it is a special time. Grandchildren are a true Blessing and one that makes our lives complete.

We will be leaving shortly for our three hour ride home.  The sun is shining brightly and the wind is  howling outside, it is supposed to be up to 45 miles or more today.  We are going to set a large sail on the top of our van and let it take us back  home. Hopefully it will be blowing in the direction we need to go. :-)

As my  husband is packing the van back up, we are saying "did we bring all this stuff with us, only for a few days!" lol  Just like when you go grocery shopping, you put the items in as you go through the store and everything fits. But when you get to the counter and you have to have it bagged, it seems like there is so much more, that sometimes you need two grocery carts. One more than what you came to the counter with.

Our 16 year old Sarah is taking her nap before we hit the road. We can never figure out her strategy of how she can be comfortable like this. But if it has worked for her, these last 16 years, who's to question. lol

We also enjoy the scenery on the way home as it goes through a lot of the Amish farmlands. On the way up we saw a plow being pulled by three work horses. A little Jack Russel dog was dancing around the plow, jumping up and down, all excited to be with them.  A few Amish buggies were traveling at a fast past along the main roads.  The horses just strutting their stuff, and their tails and manes blowing in the wind.  Hopefully today on the way home we will have the pleasure of seeing more of the local residents in their habitat.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Hoping to meet some blogging friends as I learn  more and more about blogging .  My daughter Jill has been patient with me, Trying to " teach an old dog, new tricks."

Have a beautiful day and take the time to "Smell the Roses.  If your roses are not out yet, try smelling a few dandelions.   :-)

    1. Hi Jill, Dad and I had a great few days with you, Jerry and the girls. Wishing we lived closer, but enjoy the time when we do get together.
Have a good rest of the week, and take some time out for yourself. Everyone one needs some "ME" time in their busy schedules.

    1. LOL Nezzy,
Wow 38 rose bushes, how great is that! My favorite flower of all. No roses on our bushes either. We just have a few. But dandelions galore!! We came home from Jill's and the green grass had managed to turn all yellow! I understand you can make dandelion wine out of them. At least they have some useage, oh, and you can use them in salads. How many weeds can be proud of that!!
Have a wonderful week and take the time to smell those pesty ol' dandelions. lol

I am giving it a try and see what I can do or should I say understand how to do it. So many new things out there for keeping in touch.
